Capitol Sales Instructor is CEDIA-Certified Capitol Sales Co. announced announced Monday that its instructor, Mike Marko, has become the first in the company to earn CEDIA certification. Marko, who joined the company in 2002, is now certified to teach the CEDIA University Core curriculum. “This process is a critical step toward validating CEDIA University courses on the worldwide certification stage,” CEDIA’s Director of Technical Training at CEDIA, Jeff Gardner, said as part of the announcement. “By training and certifying our volunteer instructors, we ensure that our core curriculum is always delivered in an accurate and professional manner. The Midwest-based EDGE Distributors’ Group member Bright Star Distributing hosted a big event for customers last month, meant to educate local dealers on the latest products available. The two-day event featured demonstrations, training, and even a pig roast party. Among the attractions were front-projection products from JVC, Schneider Optics and Screen Innovations, as well as factory representatives from Boston Acoustics, EZ Bracket and others. And Cooper Wiring Services, a newcomer to the custom-installation channel, debuted its new RFT wireless lighting control system. Bright Star represents the EDGE Distributors Group in Illinois and Wisconsin.

The company’s products, including the Push Prong series, ConX, Select and Super HDMI cables, Super Quad and Super Twin Speaker cables; and Power and DVA RG-6 cables. The Edge Distributors’ Group announced last week that one of its members, CTD Marketing, has opened a new distribution facility in Louisville, Ky. The new facility will serve customers in Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky; its facility in Fort Wayne, Ind. remains open.
