The tour will take on a "battle of the sexes" tone, as two rival teams of six, one male one female, will travel around the country in opposite directions, meant to get Sennheiser products into the hands of as many customers as possible. The tour will be chronicled throughout the summer on the company's Web site. Full dates will be announced July 3.
“The purpose of all this fun and action, of course, is to intensify our brand recognition in the market,” Stefanie Reichert, Sennheiser's V.P. of Strategic Marketing in the U.S., said as part of the announcement. “And to do so in a way that underscores both the serious quality and the unique fun that have always been at the core of headphone listening and gaming.”
