SED International Holdings this week announced both that it has named Daniel Greenlee vice president of domestic sales, and that president and CEO Jonathan Elster has been added to the company's board of directors.

Greenlee, a 30-year industry veteran formerly of DBL Distributing, will supervise SED's U.S. sales teams and guiding SED’s new customer acquisition initiatives. Greenlee will report directly to Elster.

“Given Daniel’s noted sales experience, we are delighted to welcome him to SED’s management team and have great confidence in his ability to implement sales programs that will ultimately grow and measurably enhance our U.S. dealer base,” Elster said in a statement.

Elster's ascension to the board, which came after a unanimous vote, expands the board from eight members to nine.

Also this week, SED reported net sales in the most recent quarter that rose 29 percent over the same period the year before. Of the 140.4 million in sales, $23.9 million consisted of consumer electronics, a 156 percent increase.
