Mike Hench, the president of EDGE Distributors Group, resigned last month, according to a report by the Stratecon Group, which was later confirmed by Hench himself.

Brett Neiderman, previously vice president of the organization, will now serve as its president.

Hench's departure was attributed to multiple factors, including an "internal territorial issue" involving the expansion by Hench's company, LP Hench, into the Southeastern U.S. Hench had been president of the EDGE Group for about two years, and the group had announced in December that he would remain through 2009.

In addition to LP Hench's distribution company, Electronic Source, the West Coast distributor Electronic Stockroom has also departed the group.
