D&H Distributing this week announced a special promotion for the 40th anniversary of Earth Day this April, in which they seek to encourage purchasers to be environmentally conscious.

Those who work with D&H, from dealers, retailers, etailers and installers, will be able to chart their progress in terms of green purchases on a special "tree" on D&H's Web site. Customers will have a chance to win a variety of prizes from the Grand Prize Toyota Prius to LED TVs to notebooks to e-book readers. In addition, D&H is launching a new recycling program, along with Engaged Recycling.

"Rather than create promotions that simply drive revenue, the D&H team wanted to encourage responsibility. These promotions will help proliferate more energy-efficient infrastructures throughout the marketplace, and they encourage recycling in general," D&H vice president of sales Jeff Davis said as part of the announcement. "It also rewards our manufacturer partners for producing conservative products, while providing a dynamic activity and an impressive Grand Prize for customers."
