Bose announced Tuesday that it is laying off 1,000 employees- 10 percent of its work force. The cuts,
according to the Associated Press, will come from various areas, including manufacturing and the company's Framingham, Mass., headquarters.
"We have been staffed for a growing economy, not a global recession," company spokeswoman
Carolyn Cinotti said in a statement. "As a global company, we are responding to these challenges.
