At the start of Super Bowl week, Walmart Monday announced slashing of prices on several items, including both TVs and installation service packages.

As first reported last week, Walmart announced cuts on several TVs from both Sony and Vizio. Sony's 46-inch Bravia 1080p TV is offered for $778 (a $300 discount), while its 40-inch version of the Bravia TV is selling for $668 (a $130 discount.) Meanwhile, Walmart is offering Vizio TVs of the 32-, 47- and 55-inch sizes, at discounts of $30, $100 and $200, respectively.

In addition, the retail giant, through its partnership with N.E.W., is offering installation packages starting at $99. The company is also offering a new assortment of accessories, including TV wall mounts and HDMI cables that match TVs offered in the stores.

The chain is also offering various food specials to liven up customers' Super Bowl parties.
